Lauren Conrad and Flats

Me blogging about Lauren Conrad has not stop yet because she is one of the many people that I look up to in many ways. Of course mostly I look up to her successful career during and post The Hills but there are a lot of other things that I look up to her to. For the other part, I truly look up to her sense of style. I think I have mentioned before, Miss Conrad's sense of style has always been about being minimalist -  less is more stylish for me. And even though, that may not be my kind of style but there are a few things that I was inspired by and one of those style is her effortless ability in wearing flats.

Being the size that she is which is almost similar to my size, wearing flats is probably not the best option when one is trying to look taller instead of smaller. But one of the things that made Lauren Conrad a real icon is her confidence of her body and how she make clothes work on her instead of the other way around. Wearing flats has always been part of her style and because of that, I started to have a love for flats, especially ballet flats. On top of it being cute, it is also comfortable unlike wearing heels. Of course, there are a few studies that have mentioned how wearing heels is not good for the foot, but today's technology, with a little bit more financial help, one could easily find a flat that is suitable for the feet. But that is beside the point because today's post, I shall share the different styles that caught my eyes to start loving wearing flats.

There has been many times especially if you have caught The Hills, we can spot Lauren sporting flats while she is working. Truly because of her, I feel like wearing flats to work can still be appropriate as it covers your toes and it comes in many different designs too. Of course, the photos caught by the paps of Miss Conrad in flats are mostly her wearing jeans but the more conservative tops made it looks like she is currently running errands for the office and the fact she still made it look cool, that says a lot.

Then there was a time when she sported the flats while shopping around town and this was what made me even more convinced to get myself a pair. The reason is, well, when shopping one will walk around the mall a lot and what better way to walk around in a pair cute yet comfy flats. I have done this before and I love wearing flats when out shopping. Not only do I feel like I look decent, I definitely look more stylish in flats than wearing myself a pair of flip-flops.

My most favourtie moment when I saw Miss Conrad in flats would be when she went to the airport because let's fact it, the airport lobby may be the area where one wants to overly dress but not me. Unless all I did at the airport is to send or greet someone. If I went there to actually travel out of town or country, I definitely want to be in my most comfortable outfit and what better way to be in one than to wear just simple flats.

Finally, of course I like how she made it look effortless wearing flats while hanging out with your friends for lunch or dinner and also out of a date with your significant other. Basically, what I really love about this style of footwear is because with flats, style is made to look effortless and chic at the same time. But I also understand that style comes with the person themselves and how their personal confidence reflects back tot heir outfit. And I believe for me, even though I am past the age of figuring myself out, I am still figuring myself out especially with my personal style. What I can confidently say is that my style, even though it is inspired sometimes by Lauren Conrad, it is never the same as hers. As much as I love minimalist style, I am also big with bright colours and intriguing patterns. Hopefully, I will finally come to a point where I can finally figure out my sense of personal style. I do have a feeling that flats especially ballet flats will be part of it too.
