Lauren Joins The Beauty Bandwagon Too??!!

Every decade, the world of pop culture will always face a different trends. At one point in the past, we hear celebrities making waves of starting their own fashion line. Then there was that time when many of them started their own perfume line and soon they went from singing or acting to become home cooks. Well, recently and as much as I hate to say it, since Kylie Jenner started her lipstick collection, it appears that celebrities just discover a new business ventures. So yes, with many of them all coming out and releasing one beauty brand after another, and on top of that with popular Youtube makeup artistes also placing their products for sale, it is not different for Lauren Conrad either. For followers of Lauren Conrad, we are highly familiar with her concept whenever she releases a new collection. Everything that she releases has a personal touch of hers like a fashion lines (although, I think Papercrown has stopped production with no particular reason) and her jewelry line. Aside from being simple, there is always a touch of something personal of hers and it is no different with her beauty collection.

Lauren is known for her simplicity in both her fashion and beauty. She is hardly seen wearing red lipstick and smoky eyes and she is very proud of her minimal appearance and that is exactly what she projected with her beauty line. Lauren Conrad Beauty is broken into two set different line, one is for makeup and the other skin care. Her makeup line consists of eyeliners both liquid and pencil, lipstick also in both gloss and stick, highlighter, blush, mascara, eyebrow pencil, eyeshadow and lip and cheek tint. Just like Lauren herself, the collection seem to be very simple and minimal with minimal shades to choose from and as many have noticed, there is no foundation or powder. So, I guess that's what is lacking in her collection. Even her eyeliner and mascara comes in only one shade - black. Her colour palette also seem to reflect herself as the shades for her lips and eyeshadows come in the basic shades, natural to basic glamour. As much as they lack in shades and of course some other makeup products, I do applaud her for keeping her brand very close to her image.

As for her skin care collection, it also comes in minimal choices where the cleaners, toners and others are mostly effective to the common skin condition which means, people like me who have extremely sensitive skin or eczema-proned skin, should just forget about getting my hands on the products, no matter how earth friendly they are. However, keeping her products close to her identity, she ensures that her skin care collection provides other supplements that fits her lifestyle such as the The Makeup Removing Balm and The All-Over Balm. I don't know why, but I feel like I would truly love to get my hands on those two as it's main purpose is to provide moisture and calm to the skin. Aside from the cleanser, the toner and everything needed for the face, her skin care collection also provides products for the body like hand cream, body cream and lotion. So even though it is a lot less than most of the existing beauty and skin care line out there, Lauren did manage to cover the very basic of makeup and skin products. If there is any other negative about her beauty line, it is probably a personal one for me who is residing in a small and far away country of Malaysia. Yes, Lauren Conrad Beauty, does not ship to Malaysia which means it will be hard for me to get my hands on her stuffs and this don't just apply to her beauty line but also to everything else from Lauren.

I have to admit at first I was a little skeptical how she will manage in the beauty industry even though I love how she looks. However, after looking at the stuff that she has released since, I am very proud and happy that she did it because aside from making her products to be eco-friendly, she continues to create products that really showcased her brand and that is, simply Lauren Conrad, simple and minimal yet chic. Really wish she starts shipping her stuffs all the way to Malaysia as well.
